[luci] How to Debug LuCI modules?

Hi All, 

     I'm new to LuCI and it is a great piece of software.. I'm a basic
level of Lua programmer.   In order to get more understanding of LuCI in
OpenWRT, I followed tutorials and HowTOs on http://luci.subsignal.org/ ;
however, when I added in my test module, and run 'make runhttpd' , the
web ---  "http://localhost:8080/luci" --- simply became a blank white
page...  I know it's caused by my newly added module, but the question
is how can I debug it?  I have no clue at all..
