 at the moment the map server layereight.de is unavailable. this leads to
 ff_mapupdate hanging until wget timeout. this alone wouldn't be a bad
 thing. but the open latlon.js file prevents olsrd to write its updates
 into this file which seems to stall olsrd so that no hellos  are sent any
 more.
