[luci] Template button execute lua code

Hello,

I’m new to luci and have a question regarding templates. Is there a way to
have a button in a view template execute a shell script (or just execute a
lua function)? I came across a previous mailing list post
<https://lists.subsignal.org/pipermail/luci/2011-December/001164.html>
showing how to do it in a CBI model, however I don’t need to tie this view
with a specific config file and so wouldn’t have access to a Map object for
that file.
