How's this going?  Do you want/need any help (if there's anything
non-site-admins can do)?

I didn't think it was possible to avoid sending the GitHub
notification emails.  So you may have to bite the bullet on that one
(with advance warning so people can unsubscribe from notifications
during that period, of course).  But perhaps things have changed and
you've found some indication this might be possible?

In the interim, would it be possible to post a notice (or open an
issue or send an email or some other notification) to let bug
submitters know that issues are being migrated?  I went to check on a
few issues this morning and was a bit disheartened to see the old
issue tracker closed with the appearance that all old issues had been
discarded in the move to GitHub.
