[luci] problems with LuCi Asterisk Webpages, Asterisk-XIP and running with Asterisk 1.4

Hi JoW -

looks like that did the trick! - did see the asterisk-xip options on the
menuconfig and, after a couple of additional issues, got a build completed
with asterisk-xip packages. It was a lot larger then previous but, after
experimenting with the menuconfig got a size that may just about fit on my
board.

Many thanks!

This will allow me to start looking into how the LuCi framework works with
the UCI and Asterisk. I have a couple of questions as I am reading through
the scripts that came with the asterisk-xip. If someone has already written
a definitive guide to the UCI that you know off that would be great.

Thanks again

Paul

Q1: when a change is made on the webpages that change the /etc/config
asterisk uci conf file, what triggers the scripts to write to the asterisk
specific config files (such as extensions.conf)?

Q2: do all the changes get written to the asterisk native conf files only or
does the asterisk database get written to/ read from?

Q3: is there any asterisk data that is not stored in the asterisk database
or its .conf files?

Q4: are there any plans to access the asterisk database with UCI scripts or
should I avoid using it and stick with the asterisk .conf files?
