Hi Bryan,

thanks for sharing your findings.

Yes - I think this is definitely worth pursuing but I have no ultimate
solution either atm. Maybe we should give the index function a boolean
return value, where "true" would signalize that the outcome is permitted
to be cached or something like that.

I need to lean back and review all involved code to soo if there are
other obvious places for optimization.
